By rail
Guildford has good rail links. Fast trains from London Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour call at Guildford (via Woking). They run every twenty minutes and take about 35 minutes from London to Guildford.

By Air
The University is conveniently situated for both London Airport Heathrow and London Airport Gatwick. Arrival at Stansted or Luton airports will involve a long journey across London.
From London Airport Heathrow:
Rail-air link coaches leave Terminal 4 for Woking Station from 07.20 to 23.10, picking up from the Central Bus Station adjacent to Terminals 1, 2 and 3. The journey to Woking takes 30-40 minutes. There are frequent trains from Woking to Guildford.

From London Airport Gatwick:
Gatwick Station is positioned in the South Terminal of the airport and provides direct trains for Guildford hourly between 05.28 and 23.18 weekdays and 05.31 and 23.18 weekends, journey time 38 minutes.

Getting to the campus from the train station
There is a bus service from outside the train station (leave from the station by the rear exit; the bus stop is on the other side of the road) to Senate House at the University or taxis can be found at the front of the station. The University is about 15 minutes on foot.
