Due to the current situation with COVID-19 the meeting will be organised virtually and will be open for anyone to join anywhere in the world!
The Surrey Reproducibiltity Society has teamed up with the core ReproducibiliTea team to organise the first meeting that aims to bring early career researchers (ECRs) together to discuss their role and impact on the changing research culture and integrity.
The work of researchers is undergoing a revolution. Many institutions are now joining forces to promote open, reproducible, transparent and rigorous research. Many academics across the globe are working towards creating a collaborative and supportive environment within and beyond their institutions. Together, we can improve the global quality and efficiency of research. However, changes are not easy. There are some challenges that researchers face when embarking on their own open/reproducible research journey. During this meeting, we will focus on the experiences of ECRs.
Anyone can join this free online meeting. We plan an invited talk by Dr Anne Scheel, followed by a panel discussion titled “The Influence of ECRs on the Changing Research Culture and Integrity”. The invited panellists include Dr Amy Orben (University of Cambridge), Dr Jessica Butler (University of Aberdeen), Dr Ben Bleasdale (Wellcome Trust) and Prof Emily Farran (University of Surrey). After the panel, we are hoping to host an e-networking session.
Details on how to join the event will be sent directly to the registered attendees prior to the event.
